The U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in June was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,552.2 billion, which is 0.1% above May’s revised estimate. However, June’s figure was 8.2% higher than one year ago. Residential construction was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $763.4 billion in June, which is 1.1% higher than May’s revised estimate.
