The U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in January was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,369.2 billion, which is 1.8% above December’s revised estimate. In addition, January’s figure is 6.8% higher than January, 2019. Total residential construction was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $554.8 billion in January, which is 2.1% higher than December’s revised estimate.
