The U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in March was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,360.5 billion, which is 0.9% higher than February’s revised estimate. However, March’s figure was 4.7% higher than March, 2019. Residential construction was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $550.3 billion in March, which is 2.3% above February’s revised estimate.
