The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is reporting that the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.3% in May, 2024 (same as April). The all items index was up 3.3% for the 12 months ending in May. The index for shelter rose in May, up 0.4% for the fourth consecutive month.
