The U.S. Government is reporting that sales of new single-family houses in February, 2023 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 640k, which is 1.1% higher than January’s revised rate but is 19% lower than one year ago. The median sales price of new houses sold in February was $438,200 with an average sales price of $498,700. There were an estimated 436k new houses for sale at the end of February representing a 8.2-month supply at the current sales rate.
