The U.S. government is reporting that sales of new single-family houses in March, 2018 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 694k, which is 4% higher than February and 8.8% higher than March 2017. The median sales price of new houses sold in March 2018 was $337,200 and the average sales price was$369,900. There was an estimated 301k new single-family houses for sale at the end of March representing a 5.2 month supply at the current sales rate.
