The U.S. Government is reporting that sales of new single-family houses in June, 2019 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 646k, which is 7% higher than May’s revised rate and is 4.5% above June, 2018. The median sales price of new houses sold in June was $310,400 and the average sales price was $368,600. There was an estimated 338k new houses for sale at the end of June representing a 6.3 months supply at the current sales rate.
