The National Association of Realtors is reporting that pending home sales were up 0.8% in February, 2023 – the third month in a row. The NAR’s Pending Home Sales Index (a forward-looking indicator based on contract signings) increased to 83.2 in February. The NAR says the affordable U.S. regions (Midwest & South) are leading a recovery. Indeed…
“After nearly a year, the housing sector’s contraction is coming to an end…Existing-home sales, pending contracts and new-home construction pending contracts have turned the corner and climbed for the past three months.” Said the NAR’s Chief Economist, Lawrence Yun.
