According to recent data from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis, overall state personal income increased 7.4% in 2021 after a 6.6% increase in 2020. The percent change in personal income across individual states ranged from 9.6% in Idaho to 4.5% in Vermont.
