The U.S. Census Bureau is reporting that total construction spending in August was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,21 trillion, 0.5% above July’s revised number and 2.5% higher than August, 2016. Through August, construction spending amounted to $806.2 billion, 4.7% more than the same period in 2016.
