The U.S. Census Bureau is reporting that total construction spending in September was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,21 trillion, 0.3% above August’s revised number and 2% higher than September, 2016. Through August, construction spending amounted to $917 billion, 4.3% more than the same period in 2016.
