The U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in February, 2024 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2,091.5 billion, which is 0.3% lower than January’s number. However, February’s revised estimate is 10.7% higher than one year ago. Residential construction came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $901.1 billion in February, which is 0.7% higher than January’s revised estimate.
