The U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in September, 2022 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,811.1 billion, which is 0.2% higher than August’s revised estimate but is 10.9% higher than one year ago. Residential construction came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $918 billion in September, which is about the same as August’s revised estimate.
