New Home Sales Up 10.6% in July

The U.S. Government is reporting that sales of new single-family houses in July, 2024 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 739k, which is 10.6% higher than June’s revised rate and is 5.6% higher than one year ago.  The median sales price of new houses sold in June was $429,800 with an average sales price of $514,800.  There were an estimated 462k new houses for sale at the end of June representing a 7.5-month supply at the current sales rate.
