The U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in June, 2026 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2,166.5 billion, down 0.1% from May’s revised number. However, June’s estimate is 3.2% lower than one year ago. Residential construction came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $877.1 billion in June, which is 0.3% lower than May’s revised estimate.
