According to ATTOM Data’s Year-End 2022 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report, there were 324,237 U.S. properties with foreclosure filings (representing 0.23% of all U.S. housing units) in 2022. This figure was up 11% from 2021 but down 34% from 2019 – before the pandemic shook up the market. In addition, in 2022 foreclosure filings were also down 89% from a peak of nearly 2.9 million in 2010.
